Get In The Loop

Congratulations to my good friend, Cale Pellick, on the release of his brand new debut CD, “In The Loop.”  For those of you who like my CD’s “Good.” and “Independence, Louisiana,” Cale was the producer of both, and he did an equally excellent job on his own compositions.

This CD is a collection of music completely composed and performed by Cale Pellick, other than the vocals.  He lays down the acoustic drum kit and puts on top of it every other instrument with the use of digital virtual instruments as well as his saxophone.

I actually wrote the lyrics to the song, “Makin’ Noise.”  It is the first time I have ever successfully written a song from the point of view of a woman, and a sassy woman at that!

This really is an amazing recording.  Cale is a badass musician, quite simply put, and if you like electronic loops combined with grooves and vocals one finds in New Orleans, you should check this one out.
